Jazz music has the opportunity and motivation to many women to go beyond the traditional role assigned to each gender by society. Jazz was a driving force of the Movement for the Liberation of Women in the United States. Likewise, jazz also helped secure jobs for women in the music industry, especially as singers. By 1920, almost all of popular music was performed exclusively by male musicians.
In our websites and radio Jazz Caribe women have earned their place, there reigns the "Ladies of Latin Jazz".
Below the posters of the events that were made and performed in the Bay Area-San Francisco and Washington DC, USA, for they are not lost.
