Andy Milne Trio
Set Time: 1:00 PM

For over 20 years, pianist Andy Milne has demonstrated boundless versatility collaborating with artists spanning jazz, classical, pop, folk, and world music.  In his new trio with bassist John Heber and drummer Clarence Penn, Milne rediscoversthe intimacy of the piano trio.  Enriched with creative insights from all of his projects, the music celebrates the intersection of texture and groove.
Victor Gould Trio

Pianist Victor Gould is quickly establishing himself as a musical force to be reckoned with making waves in New York and across the globe.  Together with Dezron Douglas on bass and E. J. Strickland on drums, he will perform compositions from his upcoming CD which will be released in Spring 2018.


Brasilian Vibes Trio

Brasilian Vibes Trio members are Nanny Assis (vocals/guitar/perc), Leonardo Lucini (7 string elec bass) and Arthur Lipner (vibes, marimba).  Assis was honored as 2017's "Brazilian Music Ambassador of the World" by the Brazilian Press Awards.  This ground-breaking trio integrates varied Brazilian styles and repertoire with mallet instruments to create exciting new sounds which will delight your ears and tap your feet.
Chip Shelton

Chip Shelton, serves up his own chocolate-tasty flavor of soulfully diverse jazz; and, audiences can't get enough of the Coltrane-inspired energy boost they experience once consumed.  Now with expanded musical landscapes and horizons, Chip Shelton performances incorporate multi-instrumental diversity, and elements of vocal expression to resurrect the type of pulsating drive and audience-participation that have characterized many of his most memorable concert experiences.


Patrick Zimmerli's CLOCKWORKS

Patrick Zimmerli Quartet "Clockworks" with Patrick Zimmerli, saxophone, Ethan Iverson, piano; Chris Tordini, bass; and John Hollenbeck, drum.  "Clockworks" is a meditation on time in all its forms - musical time, tempo and speed, and metric time.  A tightly woven compositional narrative, it includes plenty of musical variety, room for solos all around, and a dramatic ending.

Julie Michels

The consummate storyteller... jazz vocalist Julie Michels previews her upcoming release of the "Lyle Lovett Project". Produced by Mark Ruffin and supported by world-renowned jazz musicians, Lovett's music takes a decidedly "jazzy" turn. Fresh off her triple-encore performance with the Cairo Symphony (Egypt), join Julie Michels at her APAP showcase for a preview. This music really "swings"!
Richard Howell "Burkina"

Described by KQED as a jazz "Jedi master,"  Richard Howell is a Bay Area treasure. His latest album, Burkina, was named one of the best recordings of 2016 by The Mercury News,  with the same stellar cast, Howell's 19-year-old son
Ele Howell, a rapidly rising drummer based in New York, virtuosic pianist Frederick Harris, veteran bassist Ravi Abcarian and scorching alto saxophonist Charles McNeal. 
Perez

Singer, composer, recording artist. Concert producer and promoter. Photographer and foodie. The Harlem-born vocalist Perez can swing a standard, share a story through song, or nail a protest anthem. Her delivery is intimate enough to touch individual hearts and minds, and powerful enough to fill a concert hall. Is there anything this self-described “hip chick” can’t do? Apparently not.


John Gray
The Jazz Thieves

The Jazz Thieves, through evocative lyrics and soulful improvisation, revitalize jazz by reconnecting it to its roots. Led by bassist/composer John Gray and vocalist/pianist Matt Robbins, they fuse straight-ahead jazz with blues, gospel, r&b and hip-hop, adding a modern edge to a classic style. Their music is a modern exploration of the many stories and voices that comprise and influence jazz.
Frank di Bussolo
The Philly Reunion Group

This a highly swinging, virtuoso group of seasoned musicians who grew up musically in Philadelphia. Led by Frank DiBussolo on guitar and vocals, James Del'Orefice on piano, Dave De Palma on saxophones, Bruce Kaminsky on bass and Bruce Klauber on drums, this group has performed to sold outaudiences for the past year. Their repertoire consists of the Great American Songbook, Jazz Standards and original material. They have been described as "masters of their craft", "extremely entertaining" and as providing a great musical experience.

The Good Project

Richie Goods' new acoustic jazz project, the "Good Project" is in the studio working on a new record scheduled to be released summer of 2018.  Coming off a 5 year run with trumpeter Chris Botti and several years with the Manhattan Transfer and Mulgrew Miller he is back doing his eclectic mix of high energy jazz. Richie's name is synonymous with Groove and this new acoustic project grooves harder than ever!
