As always Capri Records is full of activity, today its President Tom Burns invites the CD release "For Joe" guitarist Frank Potenza in dedication to his mentor Joe Pass.

The celebration will take effect at the site of Catalina Jazz Bar on Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, beginning at 7:00 pm with a dinner opening, continuing screening of documentary film "A Not So Average Joe" remembered also in memory of Joe Pass, great guitar that was characterized by the walking bass, melodic counterpoint between improvisation and chord melodic style, which made ​​the much appreciated not only by the fans but by the musicians themselves .

Then provide attendees personalities "For Joe" and Frank Potenza will offer a concert, with the music of the album, with its Quartet: John Pisano (guitar), Jim Hughart (bass) and Colin Bailey (drums).
Mister Potenza is a actve composer and performer with nine álbum solo,
in addition to his extensive freelance recording experience he has performed in concert with Dizzy Gillespie, George Van Eps, Joe Pass, Bud Shank, Mose Allison, James Moody, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Brother Jack McDuff, and many others.
Frank toured and recorded as a member of the Gene Harris Quartet from 1996 through 1999 and is a featured soloist on Alley Cats, Gene's last recording for Concord Records. He currently leads his own groups and tours in support of his latest Capri Records Ltd. release entitled Old New Borrowed & Blue
.
He is a full Professor and Chair of the Studio/Jazz Guitar Program at the Flora L. Thornton School of Music, University of Southern California. He holds a Bachelors degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts and a Master of Arts degree from California State University Los Angeles.
 
 This Album "For Joe" will be highly sought after for his vast musical depth and the selected choice of items that comprise it. Pazz Joe's own compositions, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt and John Pisano also credited the quality  of this CD.
